The Daffodil Day Garden tours are now fully committed. If you would like to be placed on the waitlist, please email us indicating your required number of tickets and your preferred tour time or no preference.
We are thrilled to open our garden gates to offer a peek at Otahuna's fabled gardens on Sunday, 1 September.
3 guided tours benefitting The Cancer Society will be offered at 10AM, 12:30PM and 3PM. Each tour will last approximately 90 minutes, taking in the property's 30 acres of historic gardens.
Otahuna's historic daffodil field has bloomed for more than 125 years and now contains an estimated 1.1 million bulbs. Elsewhere, the tour will visit the restored Dutch Garden, Great Lawn, Orchard and the vast potager garden from which we source more than 120 varieties of fruits and vegetables annually.
All tours will be conducted by Otahuna Head Gardener Steve Marcham or Co-Owner Miles Refo.
Admission is $25 for adults and $5 for children aged 5-12 with all proceeds donated to The Cancer Society.
Space is limited to 70 places per tour with advance reservation required. Tickets are payable on the day only by cash. Eftpos and credit facilities will not be available. Please note that admission to the homestead building is not included.
We look forward to welcoming you to Otahuna's extraordinary gardens this "Daffodil Season" and helping to raise funds for the Canterbury-West Coast Division of The Cancer Society.
