We’re channelling all things Italian with our limited-time, set-menu La Dolce Vita Dining Pop-Up offered exclusively between 12-16 October.
To craft an authentic menu celebrating the true flavours of Italy, Executive Chef Jimmy McIntyre will draw inspiration from his travels across the Italian provinces as well as the bounty of the spring harvest from Otahuna’s own Potager Gardens and Orchards.
Begin this celebration of La Dolce Vita with a glass of prosecco or a specialty cocktail, a Negroni Sbagliato (featuring our very own Chapter One Gin). Naturally, nothing pairs better with a drink than a selection of canapes including one made of our own, estate-produced prosciutto (aged 26 months).
For dinner, you’ll dine privately in one of Otahuna’s multiple private dining locations located throughout the original homestead building.
There, things will kick off with a deliciously light and flavourful tuna crudo paired with fresh estate-grown asparagus. Pasta is at the heart of the second course with house-made ricotta-stuffed tortellini served with hibachi grilled prawns and truffle curado. For the main, plan to savour a rotolo of estate-raised pork with caponata agrodolce. And, finally, no celebration of Italy would ever be complete without serving Tiramisu--indulge here in a bombolone topped off with stracciatella gelato.
Included in the tariff of $250 per person are:
- 6:30PM arrival with cocktails and canapés served in the Lodge’s public areas.
- An exquisite 4-course, set-menu dinner celebrating Chef Jimmy’s favourite Italian dishes. (Guests seated at private tables.)
- One bottle of premium, limited-selection Italian wine for every two guests.
- Tea and coffee.
- GST.
We look forward to welcoming you to Otahuna for this very special series celebrating La Dolce Vita.
Buon Apetito!
